Belagavi : The Nippani Rural police booked cases against 12 passengers who tried to enter the state with fake RT-PCR negative report certificate obtained in Kolhapur.
During check at state border at Nippani early on Friday, the police found the certificates showed to them were fake.
The passengers travelling in a private bus said that they obtained the same at Kolhapur to travel to Karnataka.
Karnataka has made obtaining RT-PCR negative certificate, taken 72 hour before, to enter the state, however, to avoid it they got the fake certificate by paying amount.
The Nippani police are also checking those who issue such fake certificates.
