Belagavi : A gang of about 8 to 10 members burgled 140 gram gold ornament and cash of Rs 75,000 from two houses, situated outside Sankeshwar town on Monday night.
The gang, at around 8pm, first entered the locked house of Ram Killedar by breaking open the lock and madeaway 30 gram gold ornament. Later it barged into one of the relatives house of Ram Killedar, situated nearby, tied all the three people at the house and madeaway 110gram gold ornaments kept in a steel cupboard. One among the gang held a knief to the neck of the tied person until others get the ornaments.
To avoid their identity, the dacoit gang wore the face mask. The gang was armed with iron made weapons. Senior police officials had rushed to both the houses with sniffer dog squad. The Sankeshwar police are in search of the dacoits.
