Belagavi : Raju Mallappa Doddanavar engaged in real estate business has been found murdered near Bhavani Nagar, close to Mandoli Road in the wee hours on Tuesday. The murderers threw chilly powder onnhis eyes and later hacked him to death by attacking with iron made weapons.
Hailed from Bastwad in Belagavi taluk, Raju after engaged in real estate was shifted to Bhavani nagar.
The accused were waiting for him near his car and attacked on him soon he came near it at around 6am. He was going to see his wife who has been admitted in a private hospital.
Raju had done many works in the irrigation department, and recently a case was registered against him in connection to a financial matter. A senior police officer said they are checking the CCTV footage of the area where the incident took place. The case has been registered in Belagavi Rural police station.
