Shivamogga : Thirteen students from the – Main Middle School – in Shivamogga city boycotted their SSLC Preparatory Examination, commenced from Monday, as they were denied entry into the classrooms with wearing Hijabs.
The students who were stopped at the main entrance gate of the school by their teachers, mainly women teachers, refused to remove the face cover. They did not responded even to their teachers request to remove the covers according to the order of the court. However, the students replied “For us, the tradition of our religion is much more important than our educational carrier. We’ll boycott our examination and not attend the examination.”
Teachers felt sorrow over their students decision and also on the issue which dividing the young children on their caste, religious issues.
