Chikkamagaluru : The Hijab row seemed taking new turns as after Hindu students at Kundapur and Vijayapur been to colleges with wearing Saffon Shawls, the dalit students of IDSG college at Chikkamagaluru been yo college with Blue Shawl to counter the saffrons on Monday.
After seeing their colleagues with Blue Shawls, the saffrons shouted ‘Jai Sriram’ slogans against which the Blue Shawls students shouted ‘Jai Bhim’ slogans. As the matter in the campus was taking heated steps, the college declared holiday and sent all the students out from the capus and locked the entrance gates.
Dozens of students from two colleges at Vijayapur district also arrived college with saffon shawls which against their Muslim counterparts attending classes with Hijabs, on Monday which forced colleges to declare holiday.
