Belagavi : The Union government has kept reserved Rs 20crore to start the proceeding of laying of new railway line between Belagavi and Dharward via Kittur, along Pune-Bengaluru national highway.
Briefing to news persons, Belagavi BJP MP Mangala Suresh Angadi said the track laying work of the project would be commenced immediately after completion of the administrative work. The department land acquisition work is under progress and no farmer whose land would be acquired opposed to give their land. Farmers have been given the good rate for their land.
The estimated cost of the project which her husband, former MP, Suresh Angadi taken up, has gone uo by Rs 250crore more than the actual budget.
The first-time MP appriciated Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman for her visionary budget where she gave importance all sector including irrigation, agriculture, education, health, rural development. She said the minister representing Karnataka has given 50pc more than that she gave in last budget.
