Dharward : RG Metri, AAYUSH Officer at Dharwad was caught red-handed with the sum of bribe he received allegedly from a RMP doctor and sent to judicial custody on Friday.
Metri had allegedly demanded bribe of Rs 20,000 from RPM doctor Harishchandra Narayanpur practicing at Annigeri to continue his practice and had taken Rs 10,000.
Dr Narayanpur had filed a complaint with the Anti Corruption Bureau at Dharwad and paid the remained sum of bribe according to their advice. After giving demanded bribe of Rs 10,000 at the former’s office, he showed an indicated signal to the officers waiting outside the office who rushed inside the office and trapped him with the sum if bribe.
Officer Metri was produced before the court which remanded him to judicial custody.
