Belagavi : To study the adverse effect over the establishment of private APMC on government APMC, State APMC Director AM Yogesh visited the APMCs on Sunday.
He said he would hold meeting with deputy commissioner and other concern officials and take appropriate steps to strengthen more the government APMC to compet with private competitors.
Yogesh who visited the site of the ongoing indefinite period strike demanding closure of private APMC said the issue cannot be settle fast. Farmers and merchants involved in vegetable business have faith on government and he expressed confidence that those stand with government alike earlier.
Farmers under the banner of Bharat Krushik Samaj led by State President Siddagouda Modagi is holding the indefinite term protest to cancel the private APMC since 45 days.
