Belagavi : Angry for not attending to his phone call, a person pelted stones on the
political office of Belagavi North BJP MLA Anil Benake on Sunday night.
The window glasses of the house were broken. It was said that a person been to a bar and restaurant near Central Bus Stand to get alcohol at around 11pm. However, the hotelier didn’t served him as hotel was closed. The person argued with the hotelier and called MLA Benake to instruct to provide him the drink. However, as the MLA didn’t received the call he got angry and went to Benake’s office just about half km distance and pelted stones on it.
The place where the MLA’s office is situated was identified as one of the hyper sensitive areas in the city where police, with a van deployed round-the-clock.
