Belagavi : Police took six people into their custody for shouting a religious slogan in support of the Hijab wore girl students in front of a college in Belagavi on Thursday.
Muslim girl students of Vijaya Institute of Para Medical Sciences denied to enter the classrooms without Hijab. They told their lectures that at any cost they won’t remove the Hijabs.
As not allowed to go inside the classrooms they stood outside the classrooms inside the campus. After knowing the incident, parents and relatives rushed to the institute and argued with the management and said to be aired their religious slogan. They said though their religious practices were being snatched no elected representatives stepping ahead in their favour.
Police took six people into their custody for sensitising the situation.
