Belagavi: An unidentified gang attacked
social activist Jayant Tinekar at Jad Shahapur late of Friday.
Tinekar, after exposing the multi-crore stamp paper scame of once his employer Abdul Karim Telagi of Khanapur in Belagavi district was provided a gunman security. Tinekar is undergoing treatment for assault on him. Who and why the attack was made is not yet known. He was alone when atracked.
Tinekar not only focused on the stamp paper scame, but also brought out the corruption and illegal practices of many, through asking details of the cases through RTI. Such an incident is suspected behind attack on him.
Tinekar has filed a complaint with Belagavi Rural police.
