Belagavi : Two ‘Contract Killers’ – Sanjay Rajput and Vijay Jagrut – who allegedly killed builder Raju Doddabommanavar have been rounded-up, with the addition the number of suspected accused detained so far reached to five.
Builder Raju’ s wife Kiran was the first accused, where as his business partners Shashikant Shankargouda and Dharanendra Ghanti were the next following accused in the former’s murder.
The arrested ‘Supari Killers’ were agreed to a sum to kill Raju and had got Rs 10 lakh as advance amount. Police are in search for the other members of the contract killer gang.
Raju Doddabommanavar engaged in Real Estate business who was murdered on last March 15, was detected murdered by his second wife and two of his business partners.
Kiran, the second wife of Raju was disappointed and angry on him as she was kept in dark on his first wedding. More shocking to her, after tracked his personal history from detectives, she came to know apart from them he married to another girl who was said to be expecting.
40-year-old Ravi has two each children from his first two wives. His first two wives didn’t knew about his third wife, alike the third didn’t know about his first two wives.
Thought that she was deceived by Raju over marital life, 26-year-old Kiran after knowing Raju had business dispute with his two partners – Shahikant Shankargouda, resident of Hindwadi and Dharanendra Ghanti from Om Nagar, Khasbag and allegedly sketched a plan to kill him and executed the plan from the ‘Contrack Killers.’
Though the exact sum of the contract to kill Raju was not known, the contract killers took Rs 10 lakh as advance and after failure of their first attempt succeeded in the second attempt where they make Raju from his housing apartment in Bhavani nagar on the morning of March 15 and hacked him to death by attacking with iron made weapons.
