Three Girls Missing from Shelter Centers

Belagavi : Three girls who were staying in private girls’ care centers in APMC police station limits are missing.

22-year-old Megha Mallappa Halabar who was sheltered at “Spporti Sadwara Gruha,” run by “Sambrudhi Seva Sansthe” at Sadashiva nagar escaped from the center by jumping the compound wall in the wee hours on last January 22. She is the resident of Harugeri in Raibag taluk.

17-year-old Manjula Raju who was staying in “Nandanadaama,” a center for HIV affected women, at Sadashiva nagar has been missing from last week. Manjula who was from Shivamogga was hosteled after her parents tested positives.

19-year-old Bhuvaneshwari Ajjannavar who was staying in a women’s care center in Sadashiva nagar was also missing since last week. Hailing from Bidari village in Jamakhandi taluk of Bagalkot district went out from the center saying she would go to covid test, but didn’t returned.
